Distance Lesson Benefits

How Do Distance Lessons Work?

Open laptop.

Click link. Go! Digital lessons are a breeze and super convenient. You will receive a zoom link in your email before your lesson. Make sure you are in a good wifi spot or hardwired into ethernet. Click the link when your lesson time rolls around (there is the possibility of saying “hi” to the Tribester before or after you) and you are golden.

Our teachers are trained to teach online in the most effective and inspirational way. Even if you don’t live in the same zip code as a fun and excellent music teacher, you have the world at your fingertips online. Join Tribe from a distance and start getting the musical fulfillment you desire!

Frequently Asked Questions

We use Zoom, which is simple to upload to your computer and offers some other cool benefits like drawing all over your sheet music!

Yes and no. It’s like the difference between a laptop and an ipad. What kind of experience do you want to have? If you are a homebody, don’t have travel time to spare, or cannot travel the distance for lessons, online is your best option. If you can make it to the studio and like more of a social eye to eye experience, in-person lessons are your best bet.  There are pros and cons to each musical magic delivery system.

The method varies a little. Tribe teachers are trained to be excellent teachers in both kinds of lessons. Note, however, if you were to take lessons while riding a roller coaster the in-person and online lessons would be taught the same. There are always exceptions. (We currently do not teach lessons while riding roller coasters. Not yet.)

Any computer that can upload the latest version of Zoom (see current zoom guidelines at www.zoom.com) and which also has a camera.

We are happy to assist in any way we can!
